DESCRIPTION
An all-over ceramic facing, in this restaurant. Red and gold figurations on an ivory background (ceramic tiles by the Richard-Ginori factory, San Cristoforo). Ponti was a promoter of the incorruptible ceramic facing. In fact, these wall panels, however mutilated, are what still remains of the once famous Ferrario Tavern, the restaurant of Milan Stock Exchange -the building, by Paolo Mezzanotte, is now under restoration. Note also the light fittings red and white glass pipes. In the same year Ponti also designed the colored ceramic walls of the entrance-hall in the Ministero delle Corporazioni by Piacentini in Rome.
